ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A torque-transmitting coupling is provided herein including a housing, and an opening in the housing, a portion of the opening being non-circular, the opening being adapted to receive a non-circular portion of a shaft. Locking means are provided for selectively locking the non- circular portion of the shaft into the opening in the housing, the locking means being biased to a locked position and selectively movable to an unlocked position. Holding means are operable in response to the removal of the shaft from the opening for holding the locking means in the unlocked position, whereby the shaft can be re-inserted into the opening. The holding means comprises a member disposed within the opening and movable within the opening from a first position holding the locking means in the unlocked position to a second position allowing the locking means to move to a locking position. This torque-transmitting coupling provides a simplified operation for use.
