A torqueshaft magnetic field measurement system (10) includes a ceramic package (61) enclosing a magnetoresistive sensor (31) for converting a sensed magnetic field into a differential output voltage, an amplifier (37) for converting the voltage into an amplified sensor signal (39), and a temperature sensor (51). An electrical cable (15) connects the ceramic package (61) to an electronic controller (11) with a microprocessor (27).
