A torsion board (10) comprising a platform (12) for supporting a user, a ground contacting member (14) for maintaining the torsion board (10) generally in a fixed position and orientation with respect to a ground surface and a resilient interconnecting member (16) mounted between the ground contacting member (14) and the platform (12) to permit pivoting of the platform about first (22), second (23) and third (24) orthogonal axes, said first axis being generally coincident with a gravitational axis (22) along which gravitational forces act upon said user.
