A touch screen display includes a display device and a touch-sensitive overlay disposed on the display device. The touch sensitive overlay includes a substrate, first and second capacitive touch sensor circuit layers disposed on the substrate for determining a location of a touch to the touch screen display, and a thin-film deposited barrier layer for electrically isolating the first capacitive touch sensor circuit layer from the second capacitive touch sensor circuit layer.
