A moderate cost air meltable, weldable, machinable nickel-chromium-iron alloys of moderate nickel and chromium content having adequate corrosion resistance combined with high cold and hot strength and excellent toughness and ductility even after prolonged exposure to cyclical temperature exposure in the range of about 1000°F to 2000°F. An alloy having the following constituents, by weight: Ni - 14-27%, Cr - 18-28%, Fe - 42-57%, W - 4.5-7.6%, C - Up to 0.12%, Mn - Up to 1.5%, Si - Up to 1.2%, Al - Up to 0.3%, Mo - No more than 0.15%, Ti - No more than 0.1%, Zr - No more than 0.03%, Nb - No more than 0.1%, Co - No more than 0.5%, wherein the combination of Cr + W is maintained in the range of 25 to 34%.
