ABSTRACT Bicycles designed and used for racing and touring axe currently fitted with what is commonly referred to as the dropped racing handle bar. The invention entitled the Touring Handle Bar is a bicycle handle bar that is more specifically designed for touring providing the facility for a greater differential of body positioning than that allowed for by the racing handle bar without jeopardizing bicycle control. The braking mechanism designed for installation on the racing handle bar requires modification to be suitable for mounting on the Touring Handle Bar. The Brake Adaptor Lever is an invention designed to provide this modification.
