A towing accessory kit includes a hitch ball mount, at least one hitch ball adapted for removably securing to the hitch ball mount, a retaining pin and clip for removably securing the hitch ball mount to a trailer hitch receiver, and a holder for engaging the mount, hitch ball, and retaining pin and clip. The holder may define compartments for receiving the towing kit components. The holder may include a base and two sides, with the sides hingedly attached to the base and extending outwardly therefrom whereby, when juxtaposed, projecting compartments are formed for receiving the hitch ball.mount, hitch ball, and retaining pin and clip. The base typically maintains the holder in an upright plane when the sides are juxtaposed.
