ABSTRACT A heating means primarily taking the form of a soft toy which can transmit warmth to a person hugging the soft toy. The soft toy includes a casing containing stuffing material and a heat source within the stuffing material. A heat transfer means having higher thermal conductivity than the stuffing material extends between the heat source and a portion of the casing so as to concentrate heat towards a specific region on the exterior surface of the soft toy. The heat transfer means is of flexible construction so as to maintain the soft characteristics of the toy.
