ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A toy animal made from yarn, and a kit for creating the same. The kit comprises a plurality of yarn units each consisting of a predetermined length of yarn which is wound about an elongated core to produce a plurality of continuous loops, and thread for sewing together adjacent loops of each yarn unit and for fastening together individual yarn units. A pattern which indi- cates the manner in which the yarn units are to be fastened together to pro- duce the animal's body is also provided. The animal made from such a kit has a body having head, leg and body sections made from elongated units of sewn together strings of yarn, the strings being sewn together at about their mid- points. Each of the units is of predetermined length and is attached to other units in a predetermined manner to form the body of the animal. Using such a kit, an attractive toy animal, having fluffy, fur-like features may be simply constructed.
