A novel polygonal construction toy is described. It is formed of modules comprising a body portion having edge faces, a top face and a bottom face, each said edge face having three or four outwardly projecting fingers of substantially equal width with gaps of substantially equal width therebetween, said fingers being arranged to provide a snap-together lateral interlock between fingers of adjacent modules while providing hinging action between modules on an axis parallel to said side face, the snap-together interlock being provided by way of a dome-shaped projection on an edge face of one end projecting finger and a mating dish-shaped depression in an edge face of an opposite end projecting finger, a slot extending inwardly from the outer edge of at least one of said projecting end fingers containing said projection or depression to provide added resilience for joining or separating a mating dome-shaped projection and dish-shaped depression, a cylindrical connector element projecting outwardly from the bottom face of the module and adapted to engage a circular socket extending into the bottom face of a like module such that the bottom faces of a mating pair of modules are in substantial contact to thereby hold a sheet plastic component therebetween while permitting rotation of the sheet plastic component about said cylindrical connector element.
