A toy vehicle (10) includes a plurality of wheels (40), and an electric motor (52) operably coupled to rotate at least one of the wheels (40a, 40c). The one wheel (40a, 40c) including a hub (42) and a tire (44) mounted on the hub, the tire having an interior (44a) sufficiently hollow to make the wheel buoyant in water and the wheel being sufficiently sealed to prevent water penetration of the interior of the tire with the wheel immersed in water. The tire has a central portion (45) surrounding the hub and a plurality of hollow lobes (46) spaced from one another about the central portion. Each lobe has a pair of opposing outer sides (46a, 46b) at least one outer side being at least partially cupped (48a, 48b) to improve thrust caused by rotation of the wheel in water.

L'invention concerne un véhicule jouet (10) qui comprend une pluralité de roues (40) et un moteur électrique (52) accouplé de façon fonctionnelle pour faire tourner au moins une des roues (40a, 40c). Ladite roue (40a, 40c) comprend un moyeu (42) et un pneu (44) monté sur le moyeu, le pneu ayant un intérieur (44a) suffisamment creux pour faire flotter la roue dans l'eau et la roue étant suffisamment hermétique pour empêcher l'eau de pénétrer à l'intérieur du pneu lorsque la roue est immergée dans l'eau. Le pneu comporte une partie centrale (45) entourant le moyeu et une pluralité de lobes creux (46) séparés les uns des autres autour de la partie centrale. Chaque lobe a une paire de côtés extérieurs (46a, 46b) se faisant face, au moins un côté extérieur étant au moins en partie bombé (48a, 48b) pour améliorer la poussée provoquée par la rotation de la roue dans l'eau.
