The invention describes a method of monitoring the flow of fluid within or from an oil or gas reservoir in which a solid tracer is inserted into the reservoir according to known methods, the tracer comprising at least one metal selected from caesium, niobium, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, lanthanum, gold, iridium, osmium, silver, platinum, palladium, rhenium, ruthenium, rhodium, hafnium, indium a metal of the Lanthanide series of the periodic table, or a salt thereof. A sample of fluid within or flowing from the reservoir is collected and analysed to determine the amount of said tracer contained in the sample. A perforation tool for insertion of the tracer within the formation is also described.
L'invention porte sur un procédé de traçage d'un flux de fluide sortant d'un réservoir de pétrole ou de gaz l'où on a introduit un traceur solide selon une méthode connue. Le traceur comporte au moins un métal choisi parmi: césium, niobium, tantale, tellurium, terbium, lanthane, or, iridium, osmium, argent, platine, palladium, rhénium, ruthénium, rhodium, hafnium, indium, un lanthanide, ou un de leurs sels. On recueille un échantillon du fluide présent dans le réservoir ou en sortant et on l'analyse pour déterminer la quantité de traceur s'y trouvant. L'invention porte également sur un outil de perforation servant à introduire le traceur dans la formation.
