TRACERS, A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME AND THEIR USE FOR LABELLING EXPLOSIVES Abstract A tracer contains ferromagnetic particles and, optionally fluorescing dyes, fluorescent pig- ments, soluble and insoluble fluorescent dyes, colo- rant pigments, oxides and/or salts of rarer metals, oxides and/or sparingly soluble salts of rare-earth metals, which have been embedded in a high molecular weight thermoplastically processable polymer, in microanalytically well detectable amounts. It is prepared by homogeneously melting the components, granulating and grinding. It is particularly suit- able for labelling explosives.
