ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A traction control system controls the slip of a driving wheel of a vehicle having at least two driving wheels. The traction control system includes a driving wheel speed sensor for sensing the speed of the driving wheels and for generating a driving wheel speed signal as a function thereof, a vehicle speed sensor for sensing the speed of the vehicle and for generating a vehicle speed signal as a function thereof, and a first selecting circuit, included within the driving wheel speed sensor and operatively connected to said vehicle speed sensor, for generating the driving wheel speed signal in response to the vehicle speed signal. The system also provides for a controller responsive to the driving wheel speed signal from the first selecting circuit for controlling the slip of the driving wheel.
