ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The wheel suspension of a tractor includes a transverse axle (12) disposed centrally of the frame of the tractor. Each end of the axle (12) carries two arms (13, 13, 14, 14) one for each wheel (15) at the respective side of the tractor. The arms are independently pivotal about the axis of the axle (12). Each arm (13, 14) is provided with a hydraulic cylinder (16) for selectively raising or lowering the associated wheel. The invention provides a simple mechanism for maintaining the cab of the tractor and at generally horizontal position in a rough terrain, when riding along a steep slope or the like.
