ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hitch ball for attachment to the draw bar of a towing vehicle comprises a body of high strength synthetic resin, with a part spherical top surface, and having embedded therein a steel reinforcing core. The core has a shank which projects below the lowermost surface of the body, for screw thread attachment to a draw bar, and a skirt portion with a lowermost surface which is exposed at the bottom of the body, and provides a high compression resistant bearing surface for clamping against the vehicle draw bar.
