A pneumatic inflation system for use with a freight carrier, such as a tractor- trailer (15), is provided. The inflation system is available to inflate reusable air bags (23) to cushion freight (25) during shipment from one location to another. In one preferred embodiment, the inflation system includes an air control unit (31) and an air coupler device (29). The air control unit (31) is fluidly connectable to a compressed air storage reservoir (17) of a tractor-trailer and supplies air to the air coupler device.
L'invention concerne un système de gonflage pneumatique pour un véhicule de transport de marchandise tel qu'un camion gros porteur (15). Ce système de gonflage sert à gonfler des coussins gonflables (23) réutilisables, destinés à sécuriser de la marchandise (25) pendant son transbordement. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, ledit système de gonflage comporte une unité (31) de commande d'air et un dispositif (29) de couplage d'air. L'unité (31) de commande d'air est reliée par fluide à un réservoir (17) d'air comprimé d'un camion gros porteur et elle fournit l'air au dispositif de couplage.
