(57) Abstract A training device for ball games during which a ball at rest is hit, in particular golf, has a ball (1) secured to a holding element (2), for ex- ample a string, a rope, a cable or the like. The holding element (2) is ar- ranged in a housing (3), preferably a tube, secured to, preferably an- chored to, a support plate (18), and can be drawn from this housing (3). In order to accommodate as much as possible of the length of the hold- ing element, with a predetermined size of the support plate (18), the housing (3) for the holding element (2) is curved.
