An assay method for determining transcobalamin saturation wherein a transcobalamin containing liquid sample is contacted with a porous substrate with immobilized thereon a transcobalamin immobilizing ligand and with a reporter-labelled transcobalamin binding partner and wherein signals from reporter labels which become immobilized on said substrate are detected, characterised in that one of said ligand or said binding partner comprises a first ligand or binding partner capable of specific binding to holo transcobalamin and a second ligand or binding partner capable of binding to apo transcobalamin or to holo and apo transcobalamin.
L'invention concerne une méthode de dosage permettant de déterminer la capacité de saturation de la transcobalamine. Selon cette méthode, un échantillon liquide contenant de la transcobalamine est mis en contact avec un substrat poreux, sur lequel sont immobilisés un ligand immobilisant la transcobalamine et un partenaire de liaison à la transcobalamine marqué rapporteur, et des signaux émis par des marqueurs de rapporteur, immobilisés sur ledit substrat, sont détectés. Cette méthode se caractérise en ce que soit le ligand soit le partenaire de liaison comprend un premier ligand ou partenaire de liaison capable de se lier spécifiquement à l'holotranscobalamine et un second ligand ou partenaire de liaison capable de se lier à l'apotranscobalamine ou bien à l'holo- et à l'apotranscobalamine.
