A device for delivery of a powder (28) to the skin (60) of a subject includes a pad (20), made of an insulating material and having an upper side (22) and a lower side (24), which lower side is placed against the skin after application of the powder thereto. An electrical power source (30) applies an electrical potential to the pad, causing the powder to adhere by electrostatic force to the lower side of the pad, and then alters the potential so that the powder is released from the pad and contacts the skin against which the pad is placed.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour l'administration d'une poudre (28) par la peau (60) d'un sujet. Ledit dispositif est constitué d'un coussinet (20) en matériau isolant et présentant un côté supérieur (22) et un côté inférieur (24), le côté inférieur étant placé contre la peau, après que de la poudre a été appliquée sur ledit coussinet. Une source d'énergie électrique (30) applique un potentiel électrique sur le coussinet, la force électrostatique entraînant l'adhérence de la poudre sur le côté inférieur du coussinet, et modifie ensuite le potentiel de sorte que la poudre soit libérée du coussinet et vienne en contact avec la peau contre laquelle le coussinet est placé.
