The present invention is directed to compositions and devices for transdermally administering vitamin B12 to a subject. In one aspect, a vitamin B12 containing composition suitable for transdermal administration is provided in the form of a shelf stable transdermal delivery patch. Such patches contain vitamin B12 combined with selected penetration enhancers and vitamin B 12 stabilizers.
