The present invention relates to a transdermal therapeutical system for the administration of physostigmine to the skin via a cover layer which is impermeable to active substances, a pressure-sensitive adhesive reservoir layer, and optional- ly a removable protective layer, said reservoir layer con- sisting of 10-90% polymeric material selected from the groups consisting of block copolymers on the basis of styrene and 1,3-dienes, polyisobutylenes, polymers on the basis of acrylates and/or methacrylates and esters of hydro- genated colophonium, 0-30%-wt softeners on the basis of hydrocarbons and/or esters, and 0.1-20%-wt physostigmine.
