The invention relates to a transfer belt for a paper machine, the transfer belt (1) comprising a base structure (2) and a fibre batt layer (3) attached to the base structure and facing the fibre web. At least the fibre batt layer side of the belt is provided with a polymer matrix (4) impregnating the fibre batt layer (3). According to the idea of the invention, the transfer belt fibre batt layer comprises at least two fibres with different surface properties, the transfer belt surface facing the fibre web being thus provided with hydrophilic and, correspondingly, hydrophobic areas. The fibres in the fibre batt layer may differ from one another with regard to their polarity, hydrophilicity, electric charge, surface energy, friction properties, degree of fineness or porosity. In addition, the surface is ground to be suitably smooth, the fibres on the surface maintaining, however, a certain micro- roughness on it.

Cette invention se rapporte à une courroie de transfert (1) pour machine à papier qui comprend une structure de base (2) et une couche de natte de fibres (3) fixée à la structure de base et faisant face à la bande de fibres. Au moins le côté de la couche de natte de fibres de la courroie contient une matrice polymère (4) imprégnant la couche de natte de fibres (3). Selon cette invention, la couche de natte de fibres de la courroie de transfert comprend au moins deux fibres ayant des propriétés de surface différentes, la surface de la courroie de transfert faisant face à la bande de fibres étant ainsi pourvue de zones hydrophiles et, respectivement, de zones hydrophobes. Les fibres contenues dans la couche de natte de fibres peuvent différer entre elles en ce qui concerne leur polarité, leur pouvoir hydrophile, leur charge électrique, leur énergie de surface, leurs propriétés de friction, leur degré de finesse ou de porosité. En outre, la surface est polie pour être lisse comme il convient, les fibres de cette surface conservant cependant certaines microrugosités.
