The invention takes as its starting point a transfer device (2) for mail items (8), having a transfer unit (4) which has an ejection point (24) for transferring the individualized mail items (8) to an item carrier (18) and a transport device (10) for transporting the mail items (8) to the ejection point (24) in a direction of transport (16), which includes two belts (12, 14), for holding the mail items (8) on both sides and transporting them, and a means for adapting the spacing between the belts (12, 14) to the thickness of a mail item (8). To ensure that the mail items (8) are transported without slip even when the transfer unit (4) is accelerated, it is proposed that the means for adapting is a belt tilt means (32) which is pivotal about an axis of rotation and whereof the pivotal movement pivots one of the belts (12, 14) and so makes its distance from the other belt (12, 14) variable.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de transfert (2) pour des envois postaux (8), ce dispositif étant équipé d'une unité de transfert (4) qui présente une sortie (24) pour transférer les envois postaux (8) isolés vers un support d'envois (18) et un système de transport (10) pour transporter les envois postaux (8) dans une direction de transport (16) jusqu'à la sortie (24). Ledit système de transport (10) comprend deux courroies (12, 14) destinées à maintenir les envois postaux (8) des deux côtés et à les transporter, ainsi qu'un moyen pour ajuster la distance entre les courroies (12, 14) en fonction de l'épaisseur d'un envoi postal (8).
