ABSTRACT The invention relates to a transfer drum for conveying sheets from one printing unit to the other whereby, for temporarily holding the conveyed sheet, a row of rubber suction pads is disposed, extending axially, at the end of the sheet transfer surface of the transfer drum, said sheet transfer service being adjustable to the sheet size. Provided in the region of said rubber suction pads are sheet supports for supporting the suction-held sheet. The rubber suction pads prevent a relative motion of the printed sheet underside with respect to the sheet guide surface, and the paper supports ensure that the rubber suction pads are not damaged, principally by stiffer sheets, while the rear region of the conveyed sheet is pulled off.
