TRANSFER ELEMENTS AND PROCESS FOR MAKING SAME Abstract Pressure-sensitive transfer elements having a plastic film foundation carrying a frangible, opaque, pressure- transfer layer applied by means of a volatile coating vehicle and comprising a solid solution of a fluorescing dye in a resinous binder material, said layer also contain- ing a minor amount by weight of an opaque lamelliform pig- ment such as a bronze powder. Such transfer elements are adapted to transfer solid images to the surface of a copy sheet, which images fluoresce to provide a relatively uniform or level signal under exposure to ultraviolet light regardless of whether said images are present on differently- colored areas of the copy sheet surface.
