A closed circuit or close cicuit refrigeration system having a valveless, close circuit with a first condenser and a second condenser in series in the circuit. The circuit is filled with a vapor/liquid phase refrigerant in a quantity sufficient to substantially fill the second condenser with liquid refrigerant under certain operating conditions of the system. The system has control means for controlling the amount of liquid refrigerant in the second condenser to control the heat output from both condensers
