A method for processing of seismic data traces utilizes the fact that a series of linear operations (40) applied to vectors (10) can be approximated by application of the linear operations to a set of basis vectors (20) which are then scaled and summed (40). The method is applied to seismic data traces (5) with a reduction in processing time provided that computation time in creating the basis vectors is small relative to the total computation time in applying the method. Theoretically there is much to be gained in terms of processing speed by implementation of this method on a vector processor (50) that is designed to multiply and accumulate operations quickly.
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement de traces de données sismiques, utilisant une série d'opérations linéaires (40) qui, appliquées à des vecteurs (10), peuvent être lissées par application des opérations linéaires (40) à un ensemble de vecteurs de base (20) qui sont alors gradués et additionnés. Ce procédé s'applique aux traces (5) de données sismiques et permet de réduire le temps de traitement du fait que le temps de calcul nécessaire pour créer les vecteurs de base est court par rapport au temps de calcul total nécessaire pour appliquer le procédé. En théorie, la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé qui utilise un processeur vectoriel (50) conçu pour multiplier et accumuler des opérations rapidement permet de gagner en temps de traitement.
