A method for transforming C3 plants which comprises introducing a number of enzymes contributing to the C4 photosynthetic cycle into the C3 plants to thereby impart the C4 cycle thereto. In this method, a gene encoding PEPC and a gene encoding PCK ligated to a gene encoding a transit peptide are introduced into the C3 plants.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de transformation de plantes C3 comprenant l'introduction d'un nombre d'enzymes qui contribuent au cycle de photosynthèse C4 dans les plantes C3 de manière à leur donner les caractéristiques de cycle C4. Selon ce procédé, on introduit dans les plantes C3 un gène codant pour PEPC et un gène codant pour PCK ligaturé avec un gène codant pour un peptide de transit.
