A multi-phase motor drive includes coil magnets that generate a magnetic field when energized with an electrical current. The coil magnets are configured in an electrical matrix. Switches are arranged in an electrical circuit with the coil magnets. Each coil magnet is in electrical communication with at least two of the switches and each switch is in electrical communication with more than one coil magnet. The switches operate in pairs to energize the coil magnets and the multi-phase motor drive includes a lesser number of switch pairs than coil magnets.

L'invention concerne un entraînement par moteur polyphasé pourvu d'aimants bobines générant un champ magnétique lorsqu'ils sont excités par un courant électrique. Ces aimants bobines forment une matrice électrique. Des commutateurs forment un circuit électrique avec lesdits aimants bobines. Chaque aimant bobine est en communication électrique avec au moins deux des commutateurs et chaque commutateur est en communication électrique avec plus d'un aimant bobine. Ces commutateurs agissent par deux pour exciter les aimants bobines et l'entraînement par moteur polyphasé comprend un nombre de paires de commutateurs inférieur à celui des aimants bobines.
