18 ABSTRACT: "Transmission circuit for modems employing frequency shift keying." In modems employing for the transmission of data two low frequencies or two high frequencies and whose trans- mission circuit comprises a modulator (1) producing a triangular signal whose frequency depends on a resistor network (15), this resistor network (15) is formed by two parallel branches each comprising the series arrangement of a first resistor (22 or 24) and a second resistor (23 or 25), the first resistors (22, 24) being short-circuit- able by a couple of first switches (26, 27), while one of the branches further comprises a second switch (28) in series with the second resistor (23), the first switches (26, 27) being controlled by the data signal (D) to supply the low frequencies or the high frequencies depending on the position of the second switch (28), the transmission circuit comprising a harmonics suppression circuit (51) arranged for modifying the shape of the tri- angular signal of the modulator (1) so as to suppress the unwanted harmonics of the two low frequencies which are located in the frequency band of the local receiving circuit (12).
