ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A transmission for a tractor in which a main shaft to be rotated by power from an engine, a clutch shaft for the travelling system and a PTO transmission shaft are disposed in parallel with each other. A first transmission of the hydraulic clutch type is disposed on the travelling clutch shaft and provided with clutch means for moving backwards and clutch means for first-stage forward travelling. A second transmission of the hydraulic clutch type is disposed on the PTO transmission shaft and provided with clutch means for second-stage, third- stage and forth-stage forward travelling. The second hydraulic clutch type transmission is so constructed that, in response to input from the main shaft, the clutch function thereof is per- formed prior to the transmission function thereof.
