ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a transmission shift control mechanism of the type having a control input shaft and a fork shaft which are arranged substantially normal to each other, an interlock member is adapted to function as a member for translating rotary movement of the control input shaft into rotary movement of the fork shaft in addition to its inherent function of preventing a selector finger from shifting two shift forks simultaneously. -26-
