The invention concerns a transmission system wherein the crankshaft (V) of the combustion engine (M) is coupled via a transmission device through a flexible link, in particular including a belt, to a shaft (1) of an alternator-starter. The invention is characterized in that it comprises a two-state coupling device, namely a first state corresponding to a starting phase of the engine, wherein the shaft of the alternator-starter drives the crankshaft (V) of the engine (M) in a first transmission ratio, and a second state wherein the crankshaft (V) of the engine drives the shaft (1) of the alternator-starter in a second transmission ratio, and in that the first transmission ration is higher than the second transmission ratio.

L'Invention est relative à un système de transmission dans lequel le vilebrequin (V) d'un moteur à combustion (M) est couplé par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif de transmission par lien souple, notamment du type à courroie, à un arbre (1) d'un alterno-démarreur (ATD), caractérisé en ce qu'il présente un dispositif de couplage à deux états, à savoir un premier état correspondant à une phase de démarrage du moteur, dans lequel l'arbre (1) de l'alterno- démarreur (ATD) entraîne le vilebrequin (V) du moteur (M) dans un premier rapport de transmission, et un deuxième état dans lequel le vilebrequin (V) du moteur entraîne l'arbre (1) de l'alterno-démarreur (ATD) dans un deuxième rapport de transmission, et en ce que le premier rapport de transmission est supérieur au deuxième rapport de transmission.
