An improved transparent support substrate in an organic light emitting diode (OLED) device comprises an organic polymer support film and a composite layer on the support film which is disposed intermediate the support film and the diodes of the OLED; the composite layer has first and second discrete coating layers bonded together in opposed facing relationship; the layers are of material impermeable to oxygen and water vapor but contain inadvertent discontinuities which result in discontinuity-controlled permeation of oxygen and water vapor.
L'invention concerne un substrat support transparent amélioré dans un dispositif à diode électroluminescente organique (OLED), qui comprend un film support polymère organique et une couche composite sur le film support, disposée entre le film support et les diodes de l'OLED. La couche composite présente une première et une seconde couches de revêtement discret collées opposées l'une à l'autre. Les couches sont à base de matériau imperméable à l'oxygène et à la vapeur d'eau, mais comportent des discontinuités fortuites donnant lieu à une perméation régulée en discontinuité de l'oxygène et de la vapeur d'eau.
