ABSTRACT Transport containers are known that comprise walls (10, 10'; 12) and a floor (11). The side walls (10, 10') are connected to one another by frame parts (20). The walls (10) of these containers are made of plywood, chipboard or sheet metal. A considerable enhancement of shock resistance, in particular resistance to damage by sharp-edged objects, can be achieved by constructing the walls (10, 10', 12) of sandwich panels comprising two outer face layers and a honeycomb core connecting them, such that the cells of the honeycomb extend perpendicular to the face layers.
