ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A transport vehicle for passenger service provides most. if not all, of the passenger comforts and amenities normally found in other modes of first class public transportation. The vehicle comprises a trailer, having only supporting wheels and lacking driving wheels or steering means, and is lowed by another vehicle, such as a truck tractor. The passenger transport vehicle is otherwise fully independent, including an auxiliary power unit providing for heating, air conditioning and electrical power, and galley service and provision for one or more cabin attendant(s). This has the advantage of allowing passengers to remain in the transport vehicle in the event of a malfunction with the propulsive vehicle, and exchanging propulsive vehicles without need for the passengers to remove carryon baggage and other articles and change vehicles themselves. The transport vehicle enables passengers to enjoy travel amenities available in other forms of transportation, yet is capable of providing transport to specific destinations to even the smallest cities and towns and city centers, unlike airline or rail service.
