A traveling mechanism for a lifting device, especially for a lifting device having a laterally cantilevering boom, is movable on rails with at least two running wheels. A connection element for attaching a load to said traveling mechanism is supported in the rail by the running wheels which are arranged on both sides of the connection element. The connection element has, at the region projecting down out of the rail, at least one running roller which is freely rotatable about a horizontal axis and rolls on a horizontal outer running surface of the rail. To effectively divert horizontal forces and uniformly distribute the vertical forces to the running wheels, running wheel axles are rigidly connected with a running wheel carrier, and the running wheel carrier and connection element are swivelably connected by a universal type joint. In addition, at least one support roller is rotatably mounted at the connection element in the interior of the rail. The support roller freely rotates about a vertical axis and rolls along at least one of the side surfaces to transmit horizontal forces to the rail.

Mécanisme roulant d'un dispositif de levage, surtout pour un dispositif comportant une flèche en porte à faux, se déplaçant sur des rails au moyen d'au moins deux roues de roulement. Un élément de connexion, permettant de fixer une charge sur le mécanisme en question, est soutenu dans le rail par les roues de roulement qui sont disposées de chaque côté de l'élément. Il comporte, dans la partie dépassant du rail vers le bas, au moins un galet de roulement qui tourne librement autour d'un axe horizontal et roule sur une surface de roulement externe horizontale. Afin de faire dévier efficacement les forces horizontales et de distribuer uniformément les forces verticales des roues de roulement, les arbres de ces dernières sont reliés de façon rigide à un porte-roue de roulement qui est lui-même relié à l'élément de connexion au moyen d'un joint de type universel lui permettant de pivoter. De plus, au moins un galet d'appui est monté de façon rotative sur l'élément de connexion à l'intérieur du rail. Le galet d'appui pivote librement autour d'un axe vertical et roule le long d'au moins une des surfaces latérales pour transmettre les forces horizontales au rail.
