A hitch for a towing vehicle includes an arcuate guide which may be attached to the conventional three-point hitch of a towing vehicle, a carriage mounted for movement along the guide, and a coupler for coupling a towed implement to the carriage. The guide is thicker in a horizontal direction than in a vertical direction so that it can support heavy draft loads. The carriage includes a base member, a first pair of rollers mounted for rotation on the base member for rolling engagement with a rear edge of the guide, and a second pair of rollers mounted for rotation on the base member for rolling engagement with a front edge of the guide. A support member is fixed to the base member between the first pair of rollers and a coupler plate is fixed to the support member. The support member is positioned between the coupler plate and the base member. A drawbar pin bore extends through aft ends of the coupler plate and the base member. The base member includes an upper base plate and a lower base plate attached to the upper base plate. The lower base plate is movable with respect to the upper base plate.
