The invention relates to a treadmill ergometer with one left and one right driven endless main belt (2, 3). The aim of the invention is to avoid incorrect measuring results or treatment resulting from the interaction which takes place between two main belts operating at different speeds when a subject steps into the middle area. To this end, two non-driven secondary belts (4, 5) are provided between said main belts (2, 3). If the subject enters the middle area of the inventive treadmill ergometer, he/she steps first on the non-driven secondary belt of the opposite side rather than the main belt of that side. This avoids the problems mentioned above. The secondary belts are driven firstly by the friction between the soles of the shoes and the belts (2, 3, 4, 5) with which they come into contact, and secondly by friction engagement between the main belts (2, 3) and the secondary belts (4, 5) in an overlapping area.
L'invention concerne un tapis roulant à bande continue principale (2, 3) commandée, droite et gauche. Afin d'éviter tout risque de falsification des résultats de mesure ou des décisions thérapeutiques, inhérent à l'interaction intervenant entre des bandes continues principales (2, 3) circulant à vitesse différente, lorsqu'un sujet parvient dans la zone médiane, il est prévu selon l'invention de disposer deux bandes continues secondaires (4, 5) non menées entre les bandes continues principales (2, 3). Si le sujet parvient sur la zone médiane du tapis roulant ergonomique obtenu selon l'invention, le sujet ne se trouve dans un premier temps que sur la bande continue secondaire (4, 5) non menée de la face opposée et non sur la bande continue principale qui s'y trouve, de manière à éviter l'émergence des inconvénients précités. L'entraînement des bandes continues secondaires s'effectue d'une part sous l'effet du frottement entre la semelle des chaussures et la bande continue (2, 3, 4, 5) qui se trouve à leur contact et d'autre part, sous l'effet d'un frottement entre les bandes continues principales (2, 3) et les bandes continues secondaires (4, 5) dans une zone de chevauchement.
