The invention is a treasure hunting game consisting of a solid block mold in the form representative of a treasure chest with a plurality of diverse items (treasures) buried within. In the preferred embodiment of the game, the items are gemstones, minerals, coins, seashells, buttons, jewelry and the like. The object of the game is for the player to go on a treasure hunt by, in the preferred embodiment, softening the mold or portions thereof with water and eroding the mold to uncover and extract each item. The player is encouraged to then identify and learn more about the items found by visiting a specially designed internet website.
