A treating agent for preventing a grating noise from generating between a urethane foam and a metal surface which comprises an oil soluble surfactant which is non-ionic or carboxylically anionic, and water or a wax emulsion sufficient to dilute the surfactant 2 to 15 times, the surfactant having a HLB value of 8.0 to 10 and the treating agent having a pH of 7.5 to 9.5.
