An aqueous fluid for surface treatment for use in surface-treating one metal material selected from iron based materials, zinc based materials, aluminum based materials and magnesium based materials, or surface-treating, at the same time, two or more of the above metal materials, characterized in that it comprises one or more compounds selected from zirconium compounds and titanium compounds in an mount of 5 to 5000 ppm in terms of the metal and 0.1 to 100 ppm of a free fluoride ion and has a pH of 2 to 6; and a method for the surface treatment of the metal material, which comprises contacting the metal material with the aqueous fluid or subjecting the metal material to an electrolytic treatment in the aqueous fluid, to form a coating film. The fluid may further comprise a calcium compound, a magnesium compound or a strontium compound, a phosphate residue, an oxygen acid and/or a salt thereof , a polymer and a surfactant. The aqueous fluid is free of a component harmful to the environment and the method allows the precipitation, on the surface of a metal, of a surface treatment coating film being excellent in the corrosion resistance after coating, without generating a sludge resulting in a waste.
L'invention concerne un fluide aqueux pour un traitement de surface utilisé dans le traitement de surface d'une matière métallique sélectionnée parmi des matières à base de fer, de zinc, d'aluminium et de magnésium ou dans le traitement de surface simultané d'au moins deux matières métalliques susmentionnées. Ledit fluide aqueux est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend au moins un composé sélectionné parmi des composés de zircone et de titane dans une quantité comprise entre 5 et 5000 ppm pour le métal et entre 0,1 et 100 ppm d'ion de fluorure libre et en ce qu'il possède un pH allant de 2 à 6. Ladite invention a également pour objet un procédé destiné au traitement de surface de la matière métallique qui consiste à mettre en contact la matière métallique avec le fluide aqueux ou à soumettre la matière métallique à un traitement électrolytique dans le fluide aqueux, afin de former un film de revêtement. Ce fluide peut renfermer un composé de calcium, un composé de magnésium ou un composé de strontium, un résidu de phosphate, un acide d'oxygène et/ou un sel associé, un polymère et un agent de surface. Ledit fluide aqueux est exempt d'un composé nocif pour l'environnement et le procédé permet la précipitation à la surface d'un métal, d'un film de revêtement de traitement de surface qui présente une excellente résistance à la corrosion après le revêtement, sans engendrer une boue qui donne lieu à un déchet.
