The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the prevention and/or treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration by administering a CD 36 -activator compound to a subject in need thereof; wherein the CD36 activator compound is the CD36 antibody FA6-152, or the growth hormone (GH)-releasing peptide family-derived compound EP80317 or the compound of Formula 1[ A-(Xaa)a-N(R A)-N(R B)-C(O)-(Xaa')b-B]; and wherein the activator compound acts to maintain a healthy choroid and retinal oxygenation by enhanced COX2 expression.
La présente invention porte sur des procédés et des compositions pour la prévention et/ou le traitement de la dégénérescence maculaire sèche liée à l'âge par l'administration d'un composé activateur de CD36 à un sujet en ayant besoin, le composé activateur de CD36 étant l'anticorps CD 36 FA6-152, ou le composé issu de la famille des peptides libérant une hormone de croissance (GH) EP80317 ou le composé de la formule 1 [A-(Xaa)a-N(RA)-N(RB)-C(O)-(Xaa')b-B], et le composé activateur servant à maintenir une choroïde et une oxygénation rétinienne saines par une expression accrue de COX2.
