The invention relates to a process to increase the amount of TiC I4 that is retrieved from a waste stream comprising one or more titanium (halo) (alk) oxides while also reducing the quantity and/or hazard of the resulting waste. Valuable solvents/diluents and/or alkyl halides that are introduced into or formed during the process can also be retrieved. The so obtained TiCI4, solvents/diluents and/or alkyl halides are recyclable to, for instance, the process to make Ziegler-Natta catalysts and or co-catalysts.
Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant d'augmenter la quantité de TiCl¿4? qui est extraite d'un flux de déchets comprenant un ou plusieurs (halo) (alk) oxydes de titane tout en réduisant la quantité et/ou le caractère dangereux des déchets obtenus. Cette invention permet également de récupérer des solvants/diluants de valeur et/ou des halogénures d'alkyle introduits ou générés lors de ce procédé. Le TiCl¿4?, les solvants/diluants et/ou halogénures d'alkyle ainsi obtenus peuvent être recyclés, par exemple, dans un procédé visant à fabriquer des catalyseurs Ziegler-Natta et/ou des co-catalyseurs.
