The present invention relates to a peptide or peptidomimetic for use in the treatment of a biofilm-associated infection in a subject, wherein said peptide or peptidomimetic a) carries a net positive charge,- b) is 1 to 6 amino acids in length or is an equivalently sized peptidomimetic; and c) is amphipathic in nature, having one or more lipophilic groups, one of said lipophilic groups comprising at least 7 non-hydrogen atoms.
La présente invention concerne un peptide ou un peptidomimétique à utiliser dans le traitement d'une infection associée à un biofilm chez un sujet. Ledit peptide ou ledit peptidomimétique a) est porteur d'une charge positive nette; b) présente une longueur de 1 à 6 acides aminés ou est un peptidomimétique de taille équivalente; et c) est amphipatique de par sa nature, et présente un ou plusieurs groupements lipophiles, l'un desdits groupements lipophiles comprenant au moins 7 atomes autres que l'hydrogène.
