A method of treating a cerebrovascular disease includes administering pyridoxal-5'-phosphate, pyridoxal, pyridoxine, pyridoxamine, 3- acylated analogues of pyridoxal, 3-acylated analogues of pyridoxal-4,5-aminal, pyridoxine phosphonate analogues, or pharmaceutical compositions thereof.
