H1015 ABSTRACT Fabrics, in particular cotton polyester fabrics, are treated with a nitrogen containing polymer (or precursor therefor) and then subsequently treated with a THP compound and cured with heat and/or ammonia, giving higher fire retardance than corresponding fabrics without the pretreatment step.
