We describe methods and compositions for treating a patient suffering from a hyperproliferative disorder or photoageing. Our methods involve blocking the activity of a retinol binding protein receptor (RBPr) in cells of the patient, and/or administering to the patient an antagonist of a retinol binding protein receptor (RBPr) and/or lowering the endogenous level of retinoic acid (RA) in cells of said patient.

L'invention concerne un procédé et des compositions permettant de traiter un patient souffrant d'un trouble d'hyperprolifération ou de photovieillissement. Ce procédé consiste à bloquer l'activité d'un récepteur de protéine de liaison du rétinol (RBPr) dans les cellules du patient, et/ou administrer au patient un antagoniste d'un récepteur de protéine de liaison du rétinol (RBPr) et/ou abaisser le niveau endogène d'acide rétinoïque (RA) dans les cellules dudit patient.
