An apparatus and process for the separation, recovery and recycling of municipal solid waste (MSW) in which hot water (48) is added to shredded and homogenized MSW 2 as it enters a rotating feed preparation drum (34) equipped with internal lifter blades (36). The blades (36) and rotation of the drum (34) cause mixing and pulping of the MSW before discharge into a rotating thermal processor (56) also equipped with lifter blades (58) and cone section (64), and in which the moist MSW 2 is heated by heating the hot gases in the processor by a flame from burner (62) which converts the moisture in the MSW to steam. The steam permeates through the MSW as it is turned and lifted in the thermal processor (56), causing further pulping.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de traitement, récupération et recyclage d'ordures ménagères. En l'occurrence, on ajoute de l'eau chaude (48) aux ordures ménagères broyées et homogénéisées (2) à leur entrée dans un tambour de préparation d'introduction en rotation (34) garni intérieurement de cornières élévatrices (36). Les cornières (36), sous l'effet de la rotation du tambour (34), provoquent le mélange et la trituration des ordures ménagères avant leur décharge dans un processeur thermique rotatif (56) comportant lui-même des cornières élévatrices (58) et une partie conique (64), et dans lequel les ordures ménagères mouillées (2) sont chauffées par des gaz chauds. Ces gaz chauds, produits dans le processeur par une flamme de brûleur (62), transforment en vapeur l'eau des ordures ménagères. Cette vapeur traverse par perméation les ordures ménagères pendant leur rotation et leur relèvement dans le processeur thermique (56), ce qui parachève la trituration.
